Vonda and I packed wishes for a good sleep into every blanket we covered yesterday - but who knows how well our guests did sleep?? Tis true the birds chirp very early in Johannisthal. Gary and I picked up fresh buns at Kamps for 7:15 breakfast and the group was ready for work at 8. It'll be 'supper' at 6:30 and they hope to see Berlin sites tonight.
The two who've been here all week cut the last of the three doors in the basement. Despite the hard work they expressed that never before had they been 'served' on the job like at Springbornstrasse.
After a grocery run to Kaufland, Natalie, Larissa and Rita fixed a wonderful meal of potatoes, schnitzle, sauce, salad and cherry truffle. It's so good they came.
Multiple odd jobs are being completed.

In the multi-purpose room, the edge beams are being 'boxed-in' with dry-wall.
The humming and whistling is coming from what will be the women's washroom upstairs - the last piece was done for this wall, completed before lunch.
Toilets are being installed in the WC's of the main foyer.
Thought for the day:
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who labour work in vain.
With every new post this verse comes to mind:
ReplyDelete"...every skilled person to whom the Lord has given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the Lord has commanded."
Exodus 36:1
