It's the tulip and blossom festival weekend here... and though the wind is colder again, the sunshine today cheered us all after overcast, grey skies yesterday. The landscape is dotted with more white, pink and yellow 'popcorn' blossoms on the trees everywhere!!! These magnolia blossoms are in our back yard.
There were lots of cameras everywhere... but I didn't have time for photos - was busy in the kitchen co-ordinating the logistics of the bbq for the group - Gary bbq'd meats: sausages, chicken, hamburgers and a few steaks; ladies brought 5-6 salads and we made fruit and veggie platters; there were 3 cakes... and yes, I did make multiple pots of coffee (the big perk gave out on us last weekend).
Seemed everyone had fun... talk is we should repeat the experience next weekend when another team from Lage joins our group... - may just suggest we use paper plates and cups to save on hours of dishes. (Thanks Trek and Bakerview volunteers for the extra help!)
Quiet afternoon - drinking lots of liquids, sleeping off a cold... new week begins tomorrow!
What a joy to hear your story. HAVE A WONDERFUL SUNDAY. Fica com Deus.
