Guest speaker, Heinz Quiring, from Bielefeld challenged us today to 'have fun'...; to chose joy, receive joy, be joyful, and live in the strength the 'joy of the Lord' is to those who know Him.
Identifying and reflecting on the multiple factors that affect 'living joyfully' in my week - I realize again that as Christ's child, I receive adequate orientation and can navigate securely when I clearly learn, understand, know, review, rehearse and apply God's truths. This does effectively quiet the 'joy-robbers' and results in a perspective, outlook, attitude, receptive to experiencing joy God orchestrates. Can't afford not to keep connected... need to trust God - trust His 'orientation device' - HE is who HE says HE is in His Word. HE can do what HE says HE can do.

Could sin be love? and 'Beauty comes from the outside'.
Yes, Berlin celebrates Valentine's Day. One of my favorite things here: the flowers in grocery stores and at all the bus/train stops, especially on the weekends there are reasonably priced fresh new bouquets in buckets. You see so many people carrying flowers - often tucked into grocery bags or backpacks etc. Our Kaisers groceries handed out a small bottle of wine for all ladies. On TV, they had a Valentine's Day interview of young couple promoting 'open relationships' (their own plus additional partners); recommended as apparently it offers a life 'with less stress'. Navigating in a setting where "people have forgotten that they've forgotten about God" (quote from young couple who chatted with us on train last weekend).
(Interruption: fun chat with kids - sorry - time's up for today... will continue later on this week). Asking God to walk ahead of you and clear the path for you; when you are faced with decisions - that HIS truths be your guide. Have a good week.
